Music Ministry

During this time of "virtual church," Rev. Kathy is scheduling musicians who are Zoom literate. In order to create and maintain the necessary balance between voice and instrument, an understanding of the computer and Zoom settings are required. If you are interested in performing virtually at a Unity North service, please contact Rev. Kathy at kathy.mccall@unitynorthmn.org.

Music is an expression of joy and is often called the universal language.  It can open the heart and remind us of our spirituality, making it easier to address some of the challenges we face. It is also a gift of God’s love we can share with all of life.

The Bible has many references to the importance of music in our lives. Here is a tiny sampling:

"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  Sing and make music in your heart…always giving thanks for all things…" – Ephesians 5:19-20

"My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.” – Psalm 57:7

The Unity North Music Ministry is dedicated to supporting our spiritual community with music. If you would like to perform at Unity North Spiritual Center's Sunday services, here are some opportunities for you to consider:

  • Choir: To participate, please contact Nancy Helvig at 612-382-7219
  • Chant Ministry: To participate, please contact Robyn Lane at 612-321-6923
  • Individual & small group performances: Please contact Julie Gardner at 763-438-2123

We are dedicated to providing support for a variety of musical expression and can offer assistance to anyone who would like to share their love of God through music.  We look forward to your participation!
