Unity North Spiritual Center has been approved as a participant in this year's Sustainable Garden Tour throughout the city of Coon Rapids! Jennifer Flynn applied to the City of Coon Rapids Sustainability Commission to be included in this year's tour.

As you tour the grounds, follow the numbered signs for a 12-stop tour of native plants, pollinator plants, educational displays and trees to hug! The newest sustainable feature is zigzag of large box elder logs that were kept on site after the trees were taken down due to structural problems. Retaining large logs is a sustainable forestry practice seldom seen in the urban and suburban landscape. As the wood decomposes, it is habitat for many species.
