Join us for this 90-minute interactive session that will unlock the art of crafting and telling personal stories. Participants will learn storytelling basics and will have the opportunity to explore story structure and how personal stories can help us honor our own lived experience. We will have a break for lunch. Please brown bag/bring your own lunch.

Shelly Siegel is an accomplished individual with a passion for literacy and storytelling. She holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Literacy from the University of Minnesota and has dedicated her career to empowering others. In 2018, she began studying storytelling at South Mountain Community College’s Storytelling Institute in Phoenix, AZ, and has recently been presenting webinars on storytelling to higher education professionals and college students nationwide alongside the Storytelling Institute’s founder and director, Liz Warren. Shelly is currently the Director of TRIO Programs at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, MN, and also teaches a course titled “Personal Storytelling” in the Global and Cultural Studies Department.
