QUICK OVERVIEW
Sign up to host a party (which you cover at your own expense) sometime between June 1 and November 30. Tickets are sold for the parties, and all of the ticket money goes to Unity North Spiritual Center.
MORE DETAILED INFORMATION
Over the next several weeks, people will have the opportunity to sign up to host a party by submitting a Party Program Party Form. Forms will be available to fill out on paper or online. Each party host/hostess will decide the date, time, and location of the party, how many people they can host, and what the fair market value is for a ticket to their party. For example, let’s say you decide to have an Italian themed party at your house and will be serving a 5-course Italian dinner. Determine what the fair market value cost would be if you went to a restaurant for that same experience and meal. Add $5 to that (this IS a fundraiser!) and that would be the price for a ticket to your party.
We had great success with the Party Program at several of my former churches in California. At the end of the email, there are some examples of parties previously thrown, as well as some ideas modified for Minnesota.
All Party Forms must be submitted by Sunday, April 21!

Once all Party Forms have been received, we will put together a booklet of all the parties in date order and will have the booklets ready to distribute on Sunday, April 28. There will be physical copies of the booklet available, and it will also be on our website. This will give people 3 weeks to review the booklets to see what parties are available and decide which ones they would like to attend, depending on total cost. You can attend more than one party, so don’t be shy! This is a great opportunity to get to know each other better, and you may even end up attending parties with people you don’t know yet!
We will have Party Sunday on Sunday, May 19. After the Sunday Service, stations will be set up for various parties and people will have the opportunity to buy tickets to whichever parties they want to attend. Tickets are initially sold on Party Sunday but will continue to be sold up until the actual party date (or until sold out). Tickets are sold first come, first serve, so attending in-person on Sunday, May 19, will give you the best opportunity to get tickets to the parties you want.
HOW THIS RAISES MONEY FOR UNITY NORTH SPIRITUAL CENTER
The host/hostess will throw the party at their own expense (the fair market value can be considered a tax-deductible donation which should be discussed with your accountant). All tickets purchased are donations to Unity North Spiritual Center and each is an investment in a day or evening of fun and good company.

Summertime Tea Party
Finger foods galore, tea, lemonade and champagne will be served.
Themed Dinner Party
Persian Delight – Persian dinner and entertainment
Southwest Fiesta – Tex-Mex menu sit-down dinner. Drinks included. Bring your fiesta spirit!
A Night in India – Dinner & Movie
Murder Mystery Dinner – There are many different kits available to host your own murder mystery party!
Or whatever you think of….
Bracelet Making Party – This could be modified to any craft-making party
All materials will be provided to make a bracelet for yourself or as a gift. Choose from a variety of beads and stones. Suitable for children and adults. Assistance with assembly provided.
Boat Ride & Meal
Schedule a lunch/dinner cruise on the Mississippi River or Lake Minnetonka. Decide how many people you can afford to take with you.
Pool Party
If you have a pool.
Breakfast
Take people to breakfast at a favorite café.
Enjoy a Play
Take people to a play. There are several great theaters around.
Concert
Throw a concert at the church, (check with Unity North’s calendar first), hire the musician(s), and
serve hors d’oeuvres.
Teach
Teach a class and serve snacks.
