Sunday Service - Twin Pillars of Freedom

Happy Independence Day weekend! I am writing to invite you to join us for Sunday Service at Unity North on July 5th, at 10:30 AM, as we gather to celebrate, reflect, and renew our spiritual vision. Join us on Zoom if you are not able to make it in-person.

This weekend, our nation marks a monumental milestone: the 250th anniversary of America. A quarter-millennium of this great democratic experiment is truly a time for deep gratitude, but it is also a call for profound introspection. We cannot ignore that we meet during a season of intense division in our country. Everywhere we look, our democratic institutions and our collective bonds are being tested. Yet, as Truth students and members of the Unity movement, we do not despair. We stand firm in our foundational belief in freedom—both personal and collective, and especially spiritual—knowing that the divine spark within every individual is the ultimate source of liberty.

This Sunday, our lesson will focus on  the Twin Pillars of Freedom: Courage and Compassion. True freedom is never passive. It requires the Courage to stand in our truth, to look beyond appearances, and to boldly co-create a world that works for all. Equally, it requires Compassion—the unconditional love that bridges divides, heals old wounds, and sees the Christ consciousness in every single person, even those with whom we disagree. Together, these two spiritual pillars provide the strength we need to weather any national storm.

Come join your spiritual family this Sunday as we anchor ourselves in these principles. Let us hold a high watch for our nation, lift our voices in joyful community, and remind one another of the power of love over fear.

I look forward to seeing your smiling faces in the sanctuary or online.

Love, Peace, and Blessings,
Rev. Kathy
