Sunday Service - Memorial Day - Comforting Love

As we come together on this Memorial Day Weekend, our hearts are naturally drawn to reflection. This holiday is a solemn reminder of the profound cost of peace. We remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives in service, embodying the ultimate definition of selfless sacrifice. Their actions reflect a powerful truth: that there is no greater love than to risk everything for the well-being of others. In honoring them, we renew our own reverence for life. We recognize that every life is sacred, deeply valued by our Creator, and worthy of protection.

We give thanks for the “Comforting Love” of God that not only helps us through our times of loss and sorrow but instills greater hope and faith. Not only do we recognize the sacrifice of those who have fought for our country, but we also may feel the loss of loved ones who have touched our lives and gone before us. Today we feel strengthened by their love and by the opportunity to reach out to others in that same spirit of love.

I invite you to the Sunday Service to share in the “Comforting Love” of the Divine. Come with open hearts, ready to release and let go of grief and sadness, and ready to experience peace, love, and greater connection. Whether you are joining us in the sanctuary or on Zoom, you are a vital part of this spiritual family.

Love and Peace,
Rev. Kathy
