Most Unity teachers and students stress the importance of Divine Order. As we align ourselves with it, we come to trust in a higher, wiser intelligence than we can usually access. We see the order in our solar system, the planetary orbits, and in the greater Universe. We note the amazing order present everywhere in nature. And we realize the order that takes place in our daily lives in so many ways. When all else fails, we often say, “Divine Order,” trusting that even though we may not understand it at the time, it is always present.
The opposite of order is chaos, and, at this time in our country and our world, there seems to be more chaos than ever. Everywhere I turn, people are stressed. The divisiveness, an unexpected war, along with the environmental and political threats looming over us are overwhelming. For some who are living on the edge, the economy tends to have a huge impact as well.
It is important to remember that community is a healing balm. In some ways it is a step forward in our personal evolution—connecting with others in a collective community for greater good. It can be helpful to us in this time of overall chaos.
We are in the cocoon stage in our country right now, or the breakdown before breakthrough. The creativity of change is chaotic, but a new order is the result. Let us not resist the process, but “go with the flow,” feeling our feelings as they come up, and remembering to reach out to Community as needed. There, we find shelter in the storm, friends who can support us, and an opportunity to serve others as well.
Love and blessings,
Rev. Kathy
