Sunday Service - Healing and Wholeness

The theme for August is: “I AM Healthy.” The monthly affirmation is: “In each moment, miracles are taking place in my body.” The scripture quote is from Jeremiah 30:17: “I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal.”

What a beautiful promise: “I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal!” But what brings about that restoration of health? There are countless books to tell us what we can do. It is only human nature to hope for Divine intervention, and sometimes that does occur. More often, however, we have to take a healing journey, and if we follow our guidance, we may in fact have our wounds healed. In many cases, there may be a cure, while for some, there may be healing, but no “cure.” After all, some people may have chosen illness as a way to leave this earthly plane.

Though a cure may be the goal, the greater one is healing—healing of our lives, our relationships, our traumas, our resentments, our unresolved issues, our Self. A cure of the ailment may be the result, but either way, we can then move forward into our next adventure in living free and unbound.

Our healing journeys may take us beyond our bodies into the depths of our souls. We may discover thoughts and beliefs we never knew we had. We may access amazing resources to call upon, such as faith, strength, and life, among others. We may find ourselves surprised by our perseverance amidst disappointments. One success can lead to another, as our courage and determination deepen.

Our quest may lead us to a profound understanding that we are already whole. As sentient beings, we are, in fact, heirs to an inner template for that wholeness. That which we have been seeking has been within us all along. Let us continue to know our affirmation: “In each moment, miracles are taking place in my body.” And we can add… “and in my soul and spirit.

Love & Blessings,
