Sunday Service - Forward in Faith

Jesus said, “Except you become like little children, you shall never enter the kingdom of heaven.” For me, that statement has meaning when I think of it as saying that we can enter the kingdom, or experience divinity, by having the faith and innocence of a child. It is this capacity for faith that allows us to hold onto and fulfill our heart’s desires, our dreams, no matter what.

We can ask ourselves, “Am I willing and do I have enough faith to go where God leads me into a new land, a new consciousness, with the innocence of a child?”

The Innocent within is the part of us that trusts with a strong but blind faith, believing what those in authority teach us, regardless of whether they have our best interests in mind. It is the innocent child who suddenly discovers that the people he or she trusts are not trustworthy. That ultimately leads us on a more profound journey into a deeper understanding of faith.

Biblically, the faith journey is demonstrated in the story of Abraham. Abraham is an important figure in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Abraham is known as the Father of the Hebrews, the first patriarch. He represents the first step in the redemption of humankind from mortal to spiritual consciousness. He symbolizes faith and the willingness to follow God’s guidance into a new land.

Just as Abraham started out in blind faith and then evolved into a wiser, more understanding faith, so, too, do we. Faith is a spiritual power within each of us, and we have the capacity to activate and develop it. We learn that we can use our faith to call forth our heart’s desires. We do this through our thoughts, our words, and our actions. Our faith evolves from hope, to blind faith, to a deep understanding faith, based on immutable Principle.

A simple and powerful affirmation is: “Faith, faith, faith. I am filled with Faith!” Say this as you sweep faith in and throughout your aura from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet and back up. Keep repeating until you feel a shift.

Love & blessings,
